Sensex rises! But these stocks are down 5% or more on BSE

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 338.94 points up at 76871.9 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Whirlpool India(down 19.99 per cent), Voltas(down 11.65 per cent), Multipurpose Trading & Agencies(down 9.96 per cent), Jainco Projects(down 9.63 per cent) and Pasupati Spinning (down 9.48 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.

In the Nifty pack, 46 stocks traded in the green, while 4 stocks traded in the red.


The Nifty index was trading 139.0 points up at 23302.1.

On the BSE, Tata Motors, Deepak Spinners, Stallion India Fluor, Mercury Trade Links and Archana Software hit their fresh 52-week lows, while CarTrade Tech, Blue Jet Healthcare, Ind-Agiv Comm, Yash Trading and Asian Hotels touched their fresh 52-week highs.
