Sensex rises! But these stocks are down 5% or more on BSE

In the Nifty pack, 38 stocks were trading in the green, while 12 stocks were trading in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 419.43 points up at 78558.44 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Sundaram Clayton(down 9.64 per cent), IB Infotech Enterprises(down 9.13 per cent), Sharad Fibres(down 8.79 per cent), Scanpoint Geo(down 8.75 per cent) and Transgene Biotek(down 8.49 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.

In the Nifty pack, 38 stocks traded in the green, while 12 stocks traded in the red.


The Nifty index was trading 115.71 points at 23760.5.

On the BSE, Akme Fintrade(India, Mamata Machinery, IGC Industries, Shangar Decor and Vegetable Products hit their fresh 52-week lows, while DJS Stock & Shares Ltd., Ladam Affordable, Ascensive Educare, Bampsl Sec and Bliss GVS Pharma touched their fresh 52-week highs.
