Sensex rises! But these stocks are down 5% or more on BSE

In the Nifty pack, 21 stocks were trading in the green, while 29 stocks were trading in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 6.29 points up at 79492.61 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Shri Balaji Valve Co(down 18.96 per cent), Universal Starch(down 16.86 per cent), Dharmaj Crop Guard(down 14.01 per cent), IFGL Refractories(down 11.42 per cent) and Evans Electric(down 9.99 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.

In the Nifty pack, 21 stocks traded in the green, while 29 stocks traded in the red.


The Nifty index was trading 3.3 points at 24144.9.

On the BSE, Aarti Inds, Brand Concepts, Asian Paints, Andhra Petro and CSL Finance hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Pix Trans, Sujala Trading, Vardhman Hold, Trans Freight and Summit Sec touched their fresh 52-week highs.
