Sensex rises! But these stocks are down 5% or more on BSE

In the Nifty pack, 26 stocks were trading in the green, while 23 stocks were trading in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 165.7 points up at 80386.42 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Vision Cinemas(down 19.26 per cent), Neopolitan Pizza and(down 14.11 per cent), Chennai Petro(down 11.36 per cent), Chandra Bhagat Pharm(down 11.11 per cent) and MPDL(down 9.59 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.

In the Nifty pack, 26 stocks traded in the green, while 23 stocks traded in the red.


The Nifty index was trading 39.86 points up at 24511.95.

On the BSE, Oracle Credit, Premier Capital Serv, Adinath Text, Advik Capital and Coffee Day Ent hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Mohite Industries, Omega Ag-Seeds, Shree Rajiv Lochan Oil Extraction Ltd., Max Financial and Gujarat Credit touched their fresh 52-week highs.
