Sensex rises! But these stocks are down 5% or more on BSE

In the Nifty pack, 29 stocks were trading in the green, while 21 stocks were trading in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 182.36 points up at 85352.23 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, CHD Chemicals Ltd.(down 18.02 per cent), SRU Steels(down 16.56 per cent), Sarthak Ind(down 9.99 per cent), Swastika Invest(down 8.97 per cent) and Standard Surfact(down 8.71 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.

In the Nifty pack, 29 stocks traded in the green, while 21 stocks traded in the red.


The Nifty index was trading 43.8 points up at 26047.95.

On the BSE, Lancer Container Lines, Rossell India, Tirupati Tyres, Khoobsurat Ltd and ETT Ltd hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Betex India, Mansi Finance, Mukta Arts, Newgen Software and Sovereign Diamonds touched their fresh 52-week highs.
