Sensex rises! But these stocks are down 5% or more on BSE

In the Nifty pack, 33 stocks were trading in the green, while 17 stocks were trading in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 175.06 points up at 79207.79 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Oriental Carbon(down 74.47 per cent), Tarini International(down 9.99 per cent), Hardcastle Waud(down 9.99 per cent), Vijay Solvex(down 8.29 per cent) and Sagar Diamonds(down 8.18 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.

In the Nifty pack, 33 stocks traded in the green, while 17 stocks traded in the red.


The Nifty index was trading 74.25 points up at 24084.85.

On the BSE, Oriental Carbon, Trident Texofab, Vitesse Agro, Akme Fintrade(India and Taaza International hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Lakshmi Auto, AK Spintex, GRP Ltd, Roto Pumps and DiGiSPICE Tech touched their fresh 52-week highs.
