Sensex rises! But these stocks are down 5% or more on BSE

In the Nifty pack, 41 stocks were trading in the green, while 9 stocks were trading in the red.

Nifty moved in a tight range of 82 points, and ended slightly below the psychologically crucial level of 15,700.
NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 310.45 points up at 77303.22 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Yamuna Syndicate(down 18.87 per cent), Chandra Bhagat Pharm(down 13.43 per cent), Som Distill(down 11.62 per cent), AVI Polymers Ltd.(down 11.16 per cent) and Piotex Industries(down 10.55 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.

In the Nifty pack, 41 stocks traded in the green, while 9 stocks traded in the red.


The Nifty index was trading 95.56 points up at 23561.15.

On the BSE, Vijay Textiles, Tirupati Tyres, CMI Ltd, Future Supply Chain and Unistar Multi hit their fresh 52-week lows, while BGIL Films & Technologies Ltd., Windsor Machine, Paras Defence, Sharda Ispat and Srestha Finvest touched their fresh 52-week highs.
