Sensex rises! But these stocks are down 5% or more on BSE

In the Nifty pack, 38 stocks were trading in the green, while 12 stocks were trading in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 542.06 points up at 76998.65 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Gujarat Hy-Spin(down 12.03 per cent), Stellar Capital Svcs(down 9.80 per cent), Nat Gen Ind(down 8.42 per cent), Glance Finance(down 8.31 per cent) and Kamanwala Housing Const.(down 7.95 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.

In the Nifty pack, 38 stocks traded in the green, while 12 stocks traded in the red.


The Nifty index was trading 161.11 points up at 23425.95.

On the BSE, Tirupati Tyres, Neueon Towers, Kronox Lab Sciences, Unistar Multi and Vistar Amar hit their fresh 52-week lows, while United Credit, Mihika Industries, Dutron Polymers, Sarla Perform and Anjani Foods touched their fresh 52-week highs.
