Sensex rises! But these stocks are down 5% or more on BSE

In the Nifty pack, 35 stocks were trading in the green, while 15 stocks were trading in the red.

Nifty continues to climb a wall of worry as it looks to be in the final leg of its rally before heading for a correction.
NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 278.79 points up at 63196.42 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Rajeshwari Cans(down 20.00 per cent), SDC Techmedia(down 18.67 per cent), SBL Infratech(down 18.52 per cent), Scandent Imaging (down 16.37 per cent) and Pasari Spinning(down 12.11 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.

In the Nifty pack, 35 stocks traded in the green, while 15 stocks traded in the red.


The Nifty index was trading 76.3 points up at 18764.4.

On the BSE, Scandent Imaging, Starlit Power Sys., M K Proteins, Vivanza Biosciences and Kanungo Financiers hit their fresh 52-week lows, while IKIO Lighting Ltd., Ambica Agarbathi, W H Brady, Lokesh Machines and Master Trust touched their fresh 52-week highs.
