Sensex rises! But these stocks are down 5% or more on BSE

In the Nifty pack, 40 stocks were trading in the green, while 10 stocks were trading in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 69.92 points up at 62862.8 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Franklin Leasing & F(down 19.96 per cent), CWD L(down 12.79 per cent), GCM Sec(down 12.02 per cent), Dr. Lalchandani Labs(down 9.99 per cent) and Tanvi Foods(India)(down 9.99 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.

In the Nifty pack, 40 stocks traded in the green, while 10 stocks traded in the red.


The Nifty index was trading 43.65 points up at 18642.65.

On the BSE, Saffron Ind, Decillion Finance, Future Enterprises (DVR), Sudal Inds and Fortune Intnl hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Hipolin Ltd, Kesar Petroprod, Shree Global, Brahmaputra Inf and Suzlon Energy touched their fresh 52-week highs.
