NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 927.74 points down at 59744.98 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Praveg Comm(down 16.59 per cent), Bodhtree Consult(down 15.75 per cent), Amforge Ind(down 15.24 per cent), Ambition Mica(down 14.40 per cent) and Jumbo Bags(down 13.98 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 3 stocks closed in the green, while 47 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 272.4 points down at 17554.3.
On the BSE, Bodhtree Consult, OrissaBengalCarrier, Zee Learn, Jet Infraventure and Baba Arts hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Sprayking Agro Equip, IRB Infra Dev., Super Fine Knitters, Prithvi Exchange and Nintec Systems Ltd. touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
