Sensex falls! These stocks fell 5% or more in Wednesday's session

In the Nifty pack, 22 stocks closed in the green, while 28 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 224.11 points down at 60346.97 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Bhatia Colour Chem Ltd.(down 15.38 per cent), Shriram Asset(down 11.69 per cent), Purple Entertainment(down 10.75 per cent), Wherrelz IT Solutions Ltd.(down 10.00 per cent) and Ekennis Software Service Ltd.(down 9.99 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 22 stocks closed in the green, while 28 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 66.3 points down at 18003.75.

On the BSE, Mayukh Dealtrade, Alembic Pharma, MEP Infrastructure, Sanofi India and NGL Fine Chem hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Prime Fresh, Tata Investment, Saraswati Comm, TRF Ltd and Olatech Solutions Ltd. touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
