Sensex falls! These stocks fell 5% or more in Wednesday's session

In the Nifty pack, 24 stocks closed in the green, while 26 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 46.14 points down at 80242.24 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, GTN Industries(down 12.66 per cent), Perfectpac Ltd(down 12.23 per cent), Premier Exp(down 11.10 per cent), Raj Packaging(down 10.11 per cent) and Ruchi Infra(down 9.21 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 24 stocks closed in the green, while 26 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 1.75 points down at 24334.2.

On the BSE, Alstone Textiles, Welcast Steels, National Standard, Maha Corp Ltd and Shanti Educational hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Parsharti Invst, Ind Link Chain, United Leasing, Soni Medicare and Gujarat Natural touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
