Sensex falls! These stocks fell 5% or more in Wednesday's session

In the Nifty pack, 20 stocks closed in the green, while 30 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 138.74 points down at 80081.98 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Neopolitan Pizza and(down 14.07 per cent), Huhtamaki PPL(down 11.35 per cent), Chandra Bhagat Pharm(down 11.11 per cent), Tainwala Chem(down 10.86 per cent) and Chennai Petro(down 10.55 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 20 stocks closed in the green, while 30 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 36.6 points at 24435.5.

On the BSE, Rajesh Exports, Yash Chemex Ltd., Advik Capital, Coffee Day Ent and Globale Tessile hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Mohite Industries, Interarch Building, Amber Enterprises, Firstsource and Coforge touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
