Sensex falls! These stocks fell 5% or more in Wednesday's session

In the Nifty pack, 17 stocks closed in the green, while 33 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 318.76 points down at 81501.36 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Sharp Investments(down 13.95 per cent), Standard Cap(down 12.66 per cent), Disha Resources (down 12.26 per cent), Superior Finlease(down 11.94 per cent) and Global Capital Markets(down 10.30 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 17 stocks closed in the green, while 33 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 86.05 points down at 24971.3.

On the BSE, Thinkink Picturez, SecUR Credentials, V R Woodart, Starlit Power Sys. and MEP Infrastructure hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Network Ltd, NPR Finance, SKP Securities, Precision Camshaft and Duncan Engineering touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
