NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 40.14 points down at 57613.72 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Superior Finlease(down 20.00 per cent), Aryaman Capital(down 19.91 per cent), Space Incubatrics(down 17.91 per cent), Starteck Finance(down 17.53 per cent) and Artefact Proj(down 17.00 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 18 stocks closed in the green, while 32 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 34.0 points down at 16951.7.
On the BSE, Superior Finlease, Space Incubatrics, Starteck Finance, Artefact Proj and Amanaya Ventures Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while O P Chains Ltd., Ranjeet Mechatronics, Navigant Corporate A, Shivalik Bimetal and Gretex Corporate Services Ltd. touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
