NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 153.13 points down at 52693.57 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Focus Business Solution Ltd.(down 19.80 per cent), Olympic Cards(down 16.16 per cent), NDA Securities(down 13.11 per cent), Ashok Alco-Chem(down 12.88 per cent) and Simplex Realty(down 11.47 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 25 stocks closed in the green, while 25 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 42.3 points down at 15732.1.
On the BSE, Ashok Alco-Chem, Indiabulls Intgrtd, Suyog Telematics, Shervani Ind and SAL Automotive hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Aryaman Capital, Dynacons Sys, Apar Industries, Knowledge Marine & Engineering Works Ltd. and BLS Int. Services touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
