NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 703.59 points down at 56463.15 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, INEOS Styrolution(down 19.95 per cent), Seacoast Shipping(down 17.50 per cent), Titaanium Ten Enterp(down 14.78 per cent), NEO Infracon(down 13.62 per cent) and Northern Spirits(down 11.24 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 7 stocks closed in the green, while 43 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 215.0 points down at 16958.65.
On the BSE, Octaware Technologie, INEOS Styrolution, Seacoast Shipping, Karda Const and Shree Ganesh Bio-Tec hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Dhanlaxmi Fab, Pearl Polymers, Bansal Roofing Prod., Bhagyanagar Properti and Lahoti Overseas touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
