NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 709.17 points down at 55776.85 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Jet Infraventure(down 20.00 per cent), Niks Technology Ltd.(down 17.47 per cent), SVP Global(down 15.08 per cent), Yug Decor(down 14.71 per cent) and PayTM(down 12.28 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

The index closed 208.3 points down at 16663.0.
On the BSE, Niks Technology Ltd., SVP Global, PayTM, Wockhardt and U P Hotels Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Nahar Capital, Sree Rayalaseema, Linde India, Kriti Nutrients and Nirmitee Robotics touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
