Sensex falls! These stocks fell 5% or more in Tuesday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 1390.41 points down at 76024.51 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Punjab Sind Bank(down 19.99 per cent), Kay Power & Paper(down 19.96 per cent), Ashiana Ispat(down 16.04 per cent), Purple Entertainment(down 13.46 per cent) and UCO Bank(down 12.61 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 15 stocks closed in the green, while 35 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 353.65 points down at 23165.7.

On the BSE, Punjab Sind Bank, Kay Power & Paper, Ashiana Ispat, UCO Bank and Avance Tech hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Sharp Investments, Gallantt Metal, ITC Hotels, Vadilal Enterprises and Shivamshree Businesses touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
