NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 1064.12 points down at 80684.45 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Benchmark Computer Solutions(down 17.12 per cent), Medinova Diagnostic(down 11.30 per cent), TARC(down 9.99 per cent), Ishaan Infrastru(down 9.96 per cent) and Pearl Green Clubs(down 9.94 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 1 stocks closed in the green, while 49 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 332.25 points at 24336.0.
On the BSE, Universal Autofoundry, V R Woodart, AB Infrabuild, Odigma Consultancy and IGC Industries hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Essar Sec, Indian Card Clothing, Visco Trade Associates, RPP Infra Proj and Kalyani Steels touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
