NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 930.55 points down at 80220.72 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Abans Enterprises (down 18.14 per cent), Thinkink Picturez(down 16.72 per cent), Aksh Optifibre(down 14.38 per cent), Prismx Global Ventures(down 14.15 per cent) and Skipper Ltd(down 14.05 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 1 stocks closed in the green, while 49 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 309.0 points down at 24472.1.
On the BSE, Prismx Global Ventures, Keerthi Ind, SRU Steels, Riddhi Corp. Service and Aptech hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Mohite Industries, Diffusion Engineers, Unichem Labs, Roopa Ind and Shree Rajiv Lochan Oil Extraction Ltd. touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
