NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 68.36 points down at 66459.31 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Ganga Pharmaceutical(down 20.00 per cent), Naturo Indiabull(down 14.68 per cent), Filtra Consultants &(down 11.06 per cent), Aanchal Ispat(down 9.99 per cent) and Kopran Ltd(down 9.96 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 21 stocks closed in the green, while 27 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 20.25 points down at 19733.55.
On the BSE, Cressanda Sol(PP), Steel Strips, Nova Pub, Svarnim Trade Udyog and GSL Securities hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Navoday Enterprises, PNGS Gargi Fashion, Dilip Buildcon, CG-VAK Software and Trident Lifeline touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
