NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 1158.08 points down at 52930.31 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Bhartiya Intnl(down 20.00 per cent), Ontic Finserve(down 20.00 per cent), B P Capital(down 19.65 per cent), Humming Bird Educat(down 18.17 per cent) and Haryana Capfin(down 18.11 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 1 stocks closed in the green, while 49 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 359.1 points down at 15808.0.
On the BSE, Bhartiya Intnl, Humming Bird Educat, Venus Remedies, PNB and PrismxGlobalVent(PP)hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Prime Fresh, N2N Tech, Dhanlaxmi Fab, Ganesh Films India and Mehta Housing touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
