NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 1190.34 points down at 79043.74 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Novateor Research(down 14.79 per cent), Vision Cinemas(down 14.28 per cent), Suryo Foods Ind(down 11.92 per cent), AVI Products India (down 9.96 per cent) and Krebs Biochem(down 9.88 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 4 stocks closed in the green, while 46 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 360.75 points at 23914.15.
On the BSE, Vision Cinemas, Response Informatic, Alliance Int., Maximus Intl. and Inditrade Capital hit their fresh 52-week lows, while VTM Ltd, The Indian Wood Products Co, Bliss GVS Pharma, Deep Industries and DJ Mediaprint & Logistics touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
