NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 1769.19 points down at 82497.1 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Devki Leasing(down 12.10 per cent), Dhanashree Electro(down 12.04 per cent), Otco Intnl(down 10.02 per cent), Golechha Global(down 9.98 per cent) and Jhaveri Credits(down 9.98 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 2 stocks closed in the green, while 48 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 546.81 points down at 25250.1.
On the BSE, Devki Leasing, Shri Dinesh Mil, MEP Infrastructure, Tirupati Tyres and Manba Finance hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Diana Tea Co, Innocorp Ltd, Lyons Corporate Market Ltd., ITD Cementation and Lippi Systems touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
