NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 610.37 points down at 65508.32 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Cospower Engg (down 14.55 per cent), Authum Investment(down 12.45 per cent), Diggi Multitrade(down 12.02 per cent), Gujarat Natural(down 11.41 per cent) and Ganga Pharmaceutical(down 10.00 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 6 stocks closed in the green, while 44 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 192.9 points down at 19523.55.
On the BSE, Kahan Packaging, IndiaNivesh Ltd, Svarnim Trade Udyog, FutureLifestyleFash and Nuvama Wealth Manage hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Bedmutha Ind, Quick Heal Tech, Navoday Enterprises, Super Tannery and SV Global Mill touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
