Sensex falls! These stocks fell 5% or more in Thursday's session

In the Nifty pack, 11 stocks closed in the green, while 39 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 294.32 points down at 62848.64 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, NIIT(down 75.35 per cent), MAC Hotels(down 20.00 per cent), Franklin Leasing & F(down 18.79 per cent), Siddha Ventures Ltd.(down 9.96 per cent) and PPAP Automotive (down 9.54 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 11 stocks closed in the green, while 39 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 91.85 points down at 18634.55.

On the BSE, NIIT, Sreechem Resins, Shelter Infra, Purple Entertainment and SRM Energy hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Essar Shipping, Shivalik Bimetal, Samrat Forgings, Maiden Forgings and Deco-Mica Ltd touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
