NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 360.95 points down at 57628.95 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Svam Software(down 19.58 per cent), Paramount Cosm(down 16.48 per cent), ShriBajrangAlliance(down 14.77 per cent), Garnet Const(down 14.77 per cent) and Coastal Corp(down 14.04 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 13 stocks closed in the green, while 37 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 111.65 points down at 16988.4.
On the BSE, Svam Software, Paramount Cosm, Garnet Const, Taparia Tools and AA Plus Tradelink Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while HB Estate Dev, Sangam Renewables, Vardhman Special, Unimode Oversea and Vishal Bearings Ltd. touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
