Sensex falls! These stocks fell 5% or more in Monday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 518.64 points down at 61144.84 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, GP Petroleums (down 17.94 per cent), Tranway Technologies(down 11.76 per cent), Time Technoplast(down 11.10 per cent), Avro India(down 10.92 per cent) and Xtglobal Infotech(down 10.78 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 13 stocks closed in the green, while 37 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 147.7 points down at 18159.95.

On the BSE, Kopran Ltd, Ansal Housing, Quess Corp, Suumaya Corporation Ltd. and Arshiya hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Vishal Bearings Ltd., VEER Energy, UCO Bank, Bank of Maharashtra and Tirupati Sarjan touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
