NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 872.28 points down at 58773.87 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, NCL Research(down 20.00 per cent), Kaarya Facilities(down 20.00 per cent), GKP Printing & Pack(down 19.99 per cent), Ridings Consulting(down 19.85 per cent) and Aananda Lakshmi Spin(down 12.22 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 5 stocks closed in the green, while 45 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 267.75 points down at 17490.7.
On the BSE, S M Gold, Kothari Fermen, My Money Securit, Bombay Rayon and Kushal hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Rama Vision, DB Corp., Indo Amines, Ruby Mills and Praveg Comm touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
