NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 84.88 points down at 56975.99 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Solara Active Pharma(down 20.00 per cent), SBL Infratech Ltd.(down 19.45 per cent), Walchand People(down 19.31 per cent), Future Market(down 18.70 per cent) and Decorous Investme(down 13.39 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 20 stocks closed in the green, while 30 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 33.45 points down at 17069.1.
On the BSE, Solara Active Pharma, Future Market, Zee Learn, Evoq Remedies Ltd. and Kanungo Financiers hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Shilchar Tech, SKP Securities, Ruby Mills, Gokaldas Export and Vadilal Ind touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
