NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 1747.08 points down at 56405.84 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Ansal Buildwell(down 20.00 per cent), Pix Trans(down 20.00 per cent), Axtel Ind(down 19.99 per cent), Saraswati Comm(down 17.88 per cent) and KLRF Ltd(down 17.64 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 1 stocks closed in the green, while 49 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 531.95 points down at 16842.8.
On the BSE, Mahindra Logistics, Ramco Systems, Vivo Bio Tech, Capacit'e Infraprojects Ltd. and AGS Transact Technologies Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Tai Industries, Shri Keshav Cem, Paramount Cosm, SNL Bearings and Vistar Amar touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
