NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 1020.8 points down at 58098.92 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Shine Fashions(down 18.57 per cent), Gennex Labs(down 16.22 per cent), M&M Financial(down 13.09 per cent), Abans Enterprises (down 12.08 per cent) and TataStl LongPdt.(down 12.02 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 5 stocks closed in the green, while 45 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 302.45 points down at 17327.35.
On the BSE, Gennex Labs(PP), Shubham Polyspin, Marsons Ltd, FutureLifestyleFash and Sathavahana Isp hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Sonal Mercantile, Regency Ceramic, Sarda Proteins, Akashdeep Metal and Ambar Protein Indust touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
