NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 889.4 points down at 57011.74 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, RateGain Travel Technologies Ltd.(down 19.88 per cent), Retro Green Revoluti(down 11.85 per cent), RMC Switchgears(down 11.54 per cent), CMI FPE(down 10.28 per cent) and Nitco(down 10.00 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 6 stocks closed in the green, while 44 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 263.2 points down at 16985.2.
On the BSE, RateGain Travel Technologies Ltd., Retro Green Revoluti, Dhani Ibull Ventures, Strides Shasun and Patel Integrat(PP)hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Gokul Refoils, Hindustan Fluro, Surat Textile, Indo Thai Sec and Gujarat Poly Ele touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
