Sensex falls! These stocks fell 5% or more in Friday's session

In the Nifty pack, 11 stocks closed in the green, while 39 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 880.34 points down at 79454.47 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Career Point(down 39.72 per cent), Chembond Chem(down 37.75 per cent), Shanti Spintex(down 16.66 per cent), Bonlon Industries(down 14.63 per cent) and Mega Nirman & Ind(down 14.29 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 11 stocks closed in the green, while 39 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 265.8 points down at 24008.0.

On the BSE, Career Point, Chembond Chem, Trans Financial, G V Films and Modern Shares hit their fresh 52-week lows, while ACS Technologies Ltd., Stampede Cap(DVR), Parmeshwari Silk, KPR Mill and Faze Three Ltd touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
