Sensex falls! These stocks fell 5% or more in Friday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 7.51 points down at 74332.58 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Nagarjuna Fertilizer(down 16.90 per cent), Forbes Company(down 14.73 per cent), Frontline Corp(down 13.52 per cent), Promact Impex(down 12.99 per cent) and Veer Global Infraconstruction(down 11.58 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 23 stocks closed in the green, while 27 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 7.8 points up at 22552.5.

On the BSE, B C Power Controls, Lime Chemicals, Mihika Industries, India Lease Dev and Anjani Foods hit their fresh 52-week lows, while AVI Polymers Ltd., Triumph International Finance India Ltd., TCPL Packaging, Deccan Cements and Covance Softsol L touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
