NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 499.13 points down at 60479.62 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, FGP Ltd(down 18.49 per cent), TeleCanor Global(down 12.27 per cent), Accelya Solutions(down 11.27 per cent), Zomato Ltd.(down 11.04 per cent) and Fone4 Communications(India)Ltd.(down 10.00 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 5 stocks traded in the green, while 45 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 155.65 points down at 17962.65.
On the BSE, R&B Denims, Kiri Industries, Nat Gen Ind, SVS Ventures Ltd. and Suumaya Corporation Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Comfort Intech, Remedium Lifecare, GCM Capital Adv., Radhika Jeweltech and Praveg Comm touched their fresh 52-week highs.
