NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 589.82 points down at 60236.4 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Oasis Sec(down 13.48 per cent), Bloom Ind(down 13.45 per cent), Beeyu Overseas(down 12.38 per cent), Vegetable Products(down 12.38 per cent) and Siel Financial(down 12.21 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 4 stocks traded in the green, while 46 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 191.25 points down at 17936.1.
On the BSE, Megasoft, Sword-ECommer, MFL India, Lee Nee Soft and Sharika Enterprises hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Escorp Asset Manage, Ind Link Chain, Abirami Fin Svc, Sterling Powergensy and United Leasing touched their fresh 52-week highs.
