NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 144.99 points down at 61479.16 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Gian Life Care(down 20.00 per cent), Bilcare Ltd(down 19.96 per cent), Cargosol Logistics Ltd.(down 19.77 per cent), Maris Spinners(down 19.53 per cent) and Dr. Lalchandani Labs(down 14.55 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 20 stocks traded in the green, while 30 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 35.4 points down at 18293.75.
On the BSE, Bilcare Ltd, Pace E-Commerce Ventures Ltd., Reetech International Cargo and Courier Ltd., Intrasoft Tech and Globus Spirits hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Mercury Laboratories, Modis Navnirman Ltd., Coral Labs, Tirupati Sarjan and Shreyans Ind touched their fresh 52-week highs.
