NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 246.03 points down at 60365.71 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, VTM Ltd(down 9.92 per cent), Kandagiri Spin(down 8.68 per cent), Northern Spirits(down 8.57 per cent), Benara Bearings(down 7.92 per cent) and Sir Shadilal(down 7.73 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 32 stocks traded in the green, while 18 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 54.2 points down at 17999.2.
On the BSE, Evoq Remedies Ltd., GMR Power and Urban Infra Ltd., Amradeep Ind and Navoday Enterprises Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Shree Krishna Infras, Genus Paper Boards, Deccan Health Care, Southern Petro and Easy Trip Planners Ltd. touched their fresh 52-week highs.
