NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 1197.02 points down at 53905.66 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, S R G Sec. Fin.(down 19.95 per cent), Rajeswari Infra(down 16.04 per cent), Dolfin Rubbers(down 13.90 per cent), Lex Nimble Solutions(down 11.90 per cent) and U Y Fincorp(down 11.53 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 3 stocks traded in the green, while 46 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 355.15 points down at 16142.9.
On the BSE, S R G Sec. Fin., Ashok Leyland, Ascensive Educare Ltd., HUL and SoftTech Engineers hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Quint Digital Media, Future Enterprises (DVR), IEL Ltd., Virat Ind and Gujchem Distil touched their fresh 52-week highs.
