NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 1647.11 points down at 55584.95 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Titaanium Ten Enterp(down 19.74 per cent), ICL Organic Dairy(down 18.80 per cent), Indus Towers(down 15.07 per cent), Rajeswari Infra(down 14.75 per cent) and Active Clothing Co(down 14.21 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 1 stocks traded in the green, while 49 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 486.75 points down at 16576.5.
On the BSE, SVP Global, Mukesh Babu Fin, Ibull Housing Fin, Birla Tyres and Vipul Ltd hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Salem Erode Invest, PurshottamInvst, Pro Fin Capital, Macro Exports and Gujchem Distil touched their fresh 52-week highs.
