NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 737.9 points down at 56945.69 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Dhani Ibull Ventures(down 14.40 per cent), Glance Finance(down 10.00 per cent), Tai Industries(down 9.98 per cent), S M Gold(down 9.98 per cent) and Times Guaranty(down 9.96 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 3 stocks traded in the green, while 47 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 215.1 points down at 16991.55.
On the BSE, Dhani Ibull Ventures, Indiabulls Intgrtd, Restaurant Brands Asia Ltd., Take Solutions and Repco Home Fin hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Trivikrama Ind, Aryaman Fin, Jagsonpal Pharm, Agri-Tech(India)and Advance Petro touched their fresh 52-week highs.
