NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 1146.56 points down at 57006.36 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Axtel Ind(down 16.42 per cent), Cenlub Ind(down 13.77 per cent), Saraswati Comm(down 13.62 per cent), Kuantum Papers(down 12.34 per cent) and KLRF Ltd(down 12.29 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 2 stocks traded in the green, while 48 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 351.55 points down at 17023.2.
On the BSE, Ramco Systems, AGS Transact Technologies Ltd., Dilip Buildcon, Seya Industries and Roselabs Fin hit their fresh 52-week lows, while SNL Bearings, Tai Industries, Paramount Cosm, Vistar Amar and A Infrastructure touched their fresh 52-week highs.
