NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 702.73 points down at 57198.41 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, RateGain Travel Technologies Ltd.(down 15.34 per cent), Tarapur Trans(down 12.45 per cent), Phyto Chem(down 12.00 per cent), North Eastern(down 10.32 per cent) and Nitco(down 10.00 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 4 stocks traded in the green, while 46 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 218.15 points down at 17030.25.
On the BSE, RateGain Travel Technologies Ltd., Patel Integrat(PP), Amaze Entertech, Omnipotent Industries Ltd. and Vikas Multicorp(PP)hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Global Vectra, Hindustan Fluro, Surat Textile, Gyscoal Alloys and IM+ Capitals touched their fresh 52-week highs.
