NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 101.1 points down at 82533.38 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Ekennis Software Service(down 16.41 per cent), Jayaswal Neco(down 12.31 per cent), Omni Axs Software (down 10.28 per cent), First Custodian(down 8.71 per cent) and Ramgopal Poly(down 8.67 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 26 stocks traded in the green, while 24 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 25.55 points down at 25186.5.
On the BSE, Mercury Trade Links, Omega Inter.Tech, SPS Intnl, IO System Ltd and LCC Infotech hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Sarthak Ind, Salem Erode Invest, LE Travenues Techno, Kalpa Commercial Ltd. and Kinetic Engg touched their fresh 52-week highs.
