NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 1028.1 points down at 78773.33 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Aryan Shares & Stock(down 17.41 per cent), DCM Nouvelle(down 14.64 per cent), Purple Entertainment(down 13.95 per cent), Jetmall Spices(down 12.40 per cent) and AMD Industries(down 12.14 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.

The Nifty index was trading 347.91 points down at 23898.8.
On the BSE, KIC Metaliks, Hilton Metal, Jai Balaji Inds, VMV Holidays Ltd. and Unimode Overseas hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Country Condos, Trident Texofab, SER Industries Ltd., Taparia Tools and Soni Medicare touched their fresh 52-week highs.
