NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 743.45 points down at 79608.19 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Gravity(India)(down 12.22 per cent), Devki Leasing(down 10.00 per cent), Emerald Leasing Fin(down 9.99 per cent), Goenka Bus. & Fin.(down 9.95 per cent) and Mayur Floorings(down 9.90 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 4 stocks traded in the green, while 46 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 238.3 points down at 24194.9.
On the BSE, IEL Ltd., SecUR Credentials, Vraj Iron & Steel, Sawaca Business and Inditrade Capital hit their fresh 52-week lows, while SPA Capital Services, Mahaan Foods, Ascensive Educare, Skyline Ventures and Lehar Footwears touched their fresh 52-week highs.
