NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 357.84 points down at 65519.18 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Aditya Ispat(down 11.91 per cent), The Phosphate Co.(down 10.83 per cent), Gagan Gases(down 10.00 per cent), Arcee Ind(down 10.00 per cent) and MMTC(down 9.99 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 7 stocks traded in the green, while 43 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 106.95 points down at 19564.15.
On the BSE, Kaiser Corporation, Manraj Housing, Bansisons Tea, Mefcom Capital and Winsome Yarns hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Shakti Pumps, Shree Bhavya Fabric, Sujala Trading, Panyam Cement and Nucleus Soft touched their fresh 52-week highs.
